German hedgehogs...

We went to Munster, Germany on a Saturday. I was told that Munster is the bicycle capital of Germany. You can tell from the photo that it is very true. I think Munster is the only city with more bicycle than China! We discovered a nice little fair hidden in a small square just off the main street. We found a family of 3...I so wanted to take a little one home...but it is unbelievably heavy!

I think the material is porcelain...but I just don't understand why it is so heavy. I like the roundness of the family...the big one even got a tummy sticking out!!! Well, in the end, we had to give up the idea of bringing one back to Hong Kong, so now they are still neighbors of Mr. Mole. Actually, Mr. Mole is quite cute as well...

Another little fellow that we saw was this spiky one. I am not big on brown spiky hedgehog. This one looks like it needs a hair cut! It got that big Afro hairdo...it's going to do that Saturday Night Fever number with that skinny blonde on his right.

One frequent spot is a hedgehog like this...I mean one for shoe shining...it's the exact item that I hate. I like something to clean and shine my shoes before walking in the apartment, but I don't want a shoe shining object that is in animal shape. The shape of the animal (whatever animal) somehow gives it an existence. I really don't feel comfortable rubbing my shoes on this little fellow's back.
