Vasco went to the HKU library yesterday. He has always wanted to take a pic on the long long staircase. It was quite unbelievable that there was no one walking yesterday morning! It was very unusual coz there are constantly a million people there. After taking that pic, he enjoyed his skim milk mocha with hedgehog on top.
In the library, he had a lot of fun reading HK and Guangzhou magazines from the 1930s...he was a good little helper. Alice hates the coldness of the special reading room, and Vasco was very happy to keep her company. Vasco hates the coldness too! Vasco had one spectacular find: a young Cantonese opera singer announced that she had her nose done in Japan in 1937!!! In black and white photos, she proudly presented her 'before-and-after' nose. 'My face is very beautiful, but my nose is not tall enough. So I went to Japan and got it done. Isn't it beautiful?' quoting the young singer.
