Angry Monkey and Zen Rabbit
Vasco went out for a walk around the Monkey Hill this morning. He met a scary and angry monkey right at the country park entrance. This is a complete contrast with the Zen Rabbit he met in the afternoon.
Zen Rabbit was meditating in a pet shop on Goldfish Street in Mongkok (Tung Choi Street). The street was crowded, but our Zen Master was undisturbed. He pondered upon the larger questions in life and the passing of human traffic was nothing more than buzzing flies.
Vasco is a much simpler creature, he was more concerned about his lunch...Phil made the perfect suggestion of luncheon meat-egg-sandwich at Yee Shun Diary Company. Vasco loves the perfectly cut luncheon meat (not too thinnly sliced) and that extremely yellowish scrambled eggs. Kaz was in a red bean craze today, he ordered a coconut drink with red beans and a milk custard with red beans. Phil preferred the egg custard and Alice the plain milk custard. The 'chaandengchi' 餐蛋治 (luncheon-meat-egg-sandwich) is still the best in Hong Kong.
A good lunch is always the perfect conclusion to a sweaty walk.
