
Vasco went to granny's house for Chinese New Year's Eve Dinner last night. Technically it was one day before the eve, but every fungshui master recommended yesterday as a more auspicious day! Vasco stuffed his little belly with these wonderful dishes, and more...lettuce with abalone and mushroom, chicken soup with shark fin and crab meat (please don't ask mention the political correctness, Vasco can not argue with granny on this...) and eight treasure sticky rice with homemade red bean paste for dessert! Granny has just perfected the technique to smoke the flounder in her own kitchen...the fish was rich with flavors but the meat was still very tender! It was one of those 'taste buds explosion' dishes!
Vasco loves Shanghainese food!
