Man Wah Cafe and Bakery

I guess this must be our last stop of our old-fashioned cafe tour...Man Wah Cafe and Bakery.
Again, I like the decor, and the sign 'No Spitting' ^0^
Oh, the best thing is that you can order a cup of Bovril Tea! Now, that's the sign of an old-fashioned cafe!
The food is average though (I guess that's the reason for finishing the tour!)

Hong Kong style western restaurant

Mei Yi Lim Restaurant 美而廉餐廳 is a funny old place in Mongkok. The food is really old-fashioned western restaurant, Hong Kong-style. We ordered the sizzling steaks...well, it certainly is sizzling, but we were not quite certain about the meat! But the decor and ambience is perfect!

Vasco touring Mongkok

Vasco went to Mongkok today to 'sweep the street'. First stop...Chinese style burger! Then Ireland's Potato french fries with wasabi mayo and cheese and then at the freak boy's request...we queued up for the Taiwanese milk tea...next to the stinky tofu stall!

All in all, it was a good and yummy trip.

Lost in translation...

There was a scene in Lost in Translation that Bill Murray was very lost on the streets of Tokyo. This was exactly how hedgehog felt this afternoon. He was strolling along the pedestrian areas of Mongkok, luckily, it was not so crowded. He loves those signs and soon got attracted by more signs. He bumped into an Australian woman asking when one could get a cold beer! And that was before noon! Anyway, Hedgehog wandered off to a Vietnamese diner. He munched happily on his morning glory and crispy spring rolls. Hedgehog still needs to find a reason for his addiction of salty lemon drink...

After a nice lunch, he went to the mecca of video gaming in Hong Kong...Sino Plaza. He is difficult to spot in a crowd...
