It's Winter Solstice on Chinese calendar tonight, so Vasco followed Alice, Phil and Kaz to Granny's place for a big dinner. Chinese do take this day very seriously. Everyone spends time with their family to enjoy a meal together. These were the dishes:
- Deep fried garoupa in sweet and sour sauce, Shanghainese-style;
- Tiger prawns in coconut sauce;
- Tea smoked chicken;
- Tofu and vegetable in preserved bean sauce (南乳);
- Chinese vegetable with assorted mushrooms;
- Bean shoots with abalone;
- Beef tenderloin;
- Pork in special sweet sauce;
- Chicken soup with shark bone, ham and fish maw;
- Crunchy twist in sesame and coconut sugar.
